Differences between Jesus Christ and major Belief Systems

1. Unlike all religions that attempt in human ways to “reach their god”, with Christ, God is “reaching out to us”.

2. You see Divine Power in Jesus. He would simply speak and his words would arrest a storm, He would turn water into wine, He would walk on water, He would give sight to the blind, He would give life to dead corps, He would feed 5,000 men and women with a few fishes plus His resurrection. No other religious leaders have such miraculous a powerful demonstration of Divinity.

3. Jesus paid the price for sin and therefore can offer forgiveness.  Religious practice requires some form of action (whip yourself, rituals, do good deeds, etc.) in order to seek forgiveness.

4. Jesus died and 3 days later, rose from the dead.  He had said so in advance.  (That is why the Roman authorities posted a soldier at the entrance of the tomb). His resurrection is a proof of his divinity.  Over 500 men and woman testified that they saw Jesus alive again and held fast their confession, even through torture and death.  No other founding figure ever claimed to resurrect or ever claimed to be God.

5. Jesus requires Faith for assured salvation.  All other system of beliefs require some type of action (works) to attain salvation.  That makes the Christian salvation system unique in the sense that the solution to Eternal Life is offered from outside our human realm.  All other Religions offer solutions from inside the human realm.
