Father – His Purpose
His Purpose
The following 3 verses have been called “The Bible in miniature”. These words have brought many to eternal life. ” And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up; that whoever believes may in Him have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.” John chapter 3, verses 14, 15, 16.What is the Father’s purpose? Well, simply put, the Father’s purpose is to bless men and women. Indeed, the Father has formed a purpose to have men and women in infinite blessing before Him. It is His purpose and pleasure that whoever believes on His Son “should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Everything under the sun is of a perishable order. Think about it. Death is stamped upon everything in the world, and on each and every man and woman. This may be sad but true. The pleasure of the Father is to bring you, the reader of these lines, into the knowledge and joy of that which lies outside of the power of death. In a nutshell, the purpose of the Father is a gift of love. “The gift of eternal life is freely given to all those who believe in His Son.” Cool stuff.
John 3:3 “In reply Jesus declared, I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.”
