Chronicles of Narnia
André Lebrun
“I cannot comfort him… He has made himself unable to hear my voice… Oh! Adam’s sons, how cleverly you defend yourselves against all that might do you good!” ASLAN (the Lion). Chronicles of Narnia, Vol.1 (The Magician’s Nephew) C.S. Lewis. Since many of our readers are now familiar with The Chronicles of Narnia (saw the few movies, read the books) our sincere hope is that NONE of you have become “unable to hear Aslan’s voice”. According to C.S. Lewis’ correspondence, Aslan represents Christ, the Eternal Son of the Father’s love (Colossians Chapter 1, the True Lion of the Tribe of Judah (Revelation Chapter 5)). The purpose of OkChrist.com is to attract YOU to the greatness, the charm and the love of the SON of God. “Lay hold of Eternal Life” as it is found in the Person Christ, our true, living “ASLAN”! Still, we are concerned that some of our readers would forfeit their eternal joy and salvation by making themselves “unable to hear” Aslan’s voice. As humans we do have the ability to reason. THAT is a distinguishing trait of our humanity as compared to “the beasts of the field”! “How cleverly you defend yourselves against all that might do you good!” Indeed, how easily we close our minds to Christ’s beneficial influence. Our wish is that NONE of our readers will turn a deaf ear to the soothing, calming and peaceful voice of Jesus who says: “Come unto me, all ye that labor and are HEAVY laden, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew’s Gospel, Chapter 11) Open your mind and heart and let him speak to you. HE ONLY WANTS TO DO YOU GOOD both now and for eternity! As you examine, scrutinize and inspect our website, be assured that we want you to come into a living, real, eternal relationship with Christ, our Aslan.
